Special Education in Ghana is given very little attention. The glaring lack of tailored educational programs and interventions for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and the lack of support for Special Education Institutions inspired the creation of  The Dislabelled Organization, also known as Dislabelled for short. Dislabelled’s interactions with policy makers, people with disabilities, and teachers at various Special Education institutions in Ghana have revealed the dire need for professional teacher training, disability-friendly school facilities, appropriate and sufficient teaching materials for efficient pedagogy. Our aim is to revolutionize Special Education in Ghana.
